The last match of the second preliminary round includes with two pairs of long legs battling it out in what will most likely end up being an elimination fight, as both will be unable to advance to the playoff round.
Both Vanesa (5’8″, 146 pounds) and Claudia (6’1″, 175 pounds) lost their first match of the tournament. Both are needing a win here for a chance to advance to the playoffs.
Each of these wrestlers have similar fighting styles. They both are not very quick and agile, but instead rely on their long legs and thighs thighs to trap their opponents and squeeze them into submission.
About the 2025 Colombian Cup:
This is a 16 person mixed wrestling tournament. There are 4 divisions, each division has 4 people. Everyone will fight everyone in their division for a total of 3 preliminary fights. The top two finishers in each division will move onto the single elimination bracket.
Each match will have two 4-minute rounds.
In matches where the man has a substantial size advantage, they will begin each round in a scissorhold by the woman.
Points can be scored for round domination (1 or 2 points), 10-second schoolgirl pin (1 point), submisssion (3 points), end of round bodyscissors or shoulder pin (1 point), or end of round headscissors, schoolgirl pin, or rear naked choke and bodyscissor combo (2 points).
The fighter with the most points at the end of the second round will be declared the winner.
