Camila Shocks Claudia with a Late Comeback Upset

The first big upset occurred last night at the 2025 Colombian Cup Mixed Wrestling Tournament as brand new rookie Camila shocked the 6’1″ Claudia in the first preliminary round. Claudia, expected to advance to the elimination bracket coming into the tournament, will now have an uphill battle to qualify as she finds herself 0-1 early in the tournament. Meanwhile, the rest of the tournament fighters are trying to access whether Camila’s comeback win was mostly luck, or if there is reason to be concerned about the new girl-next-door cutie.

In the first three fights of the tournament all favorites won their matches, though Sweet Sara did give Kevin a close call in Match 1 where she only lost by one point and looked to be in position to take a lead right as the clock hit zero. Fortunately for Kevin he was able to avoid Sara’s attack and secure the win. With all favorites winning the first three matches, and with Claudia being the biggest favorite so far, few people even showed up to watch this fight which ended up being the best match in the tournament thus far.

Since the last tournament where Claudia felt embarrassed by going 0-4, she has been working out hard at the gym and has really strengthened her tree trunk legs. Her legs are both long and thick making them especially dangerous. With a 162 to 114 pound weight advantage, Claudia’s strategy was to let the smaller and quicker Camila come to her where she could then wrap her up between her thighs and squeeze the air right out of her.

This is exactly what occurred early in Round 1, as an inexperienced Camila walked right into the trap of Claudia’s long legs. Claudia made a Camila sandwhich with her thighs and then quickly locked her feet and began squeezing. Camila felt the pressure and strength of a tight bodyscissors for the first time and quickly tapped out as Claudia took an early 3-0 lead. Not too long after that Claudia followed it up with a 10-second schoolgirl pin.

But Camila refused to give in and accept defeat. Despite being down 4-0 early Camila kept fighting back. She said in the post-fight interview that she just wanted to take it one play at a time and see if she could get some points on the scoreboard and put herself in position to win.

As the match continued you could see the larger Claudia, who outweighed her opponent by 48 pounds, become more and more tired as she started to move slower. Meanwhile, Camila with her cross-country background never seemed to get tired throughout the match and even seemed to gain strength as her confidence started to grow.

Camila returns the favor with a bodyscissors of her own late in the match

Soon it was Camila sitting on Claudia’s chest in a schoolgirl pin of her own to get her very first points. Camila continued to attack a tired Claudia. What was most amazing about the comeback was Camila’s ability to trap the larger Claudia with her legs and put on the squeeze pressure with her legs.

The upset win by Camila has the rest of the fighters looking forward to seeing how she will do in the second round where she is scheduled to fight the Division favorite David in what will be Camila’s first mixed wrestling match.

But before we get there we still have four more Round 1 Matches. All eyes will be on the last match of the first round where Kinksports veterans Juliana and Chica Python meet for the first time, both in real life and on the wrestling mats.
